New Executive Director Hired

We are pleased to announce that as of August 1, 2022, MacKenzie Huntsman has joined us as our new Executive Director. 

MacKenzie is a 2011 graduate of Southern Huntingdon County High School. She earned her Associates Degree as an Administrative Professional in 2013 from South Hills School of Business & Technology. She then spent nine years working at the Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce starting as the Office Manager and moving to the Program Director Position. She is very excited to begin serving the community now as the Executive Director of Huntingdon County United Way. 

MacKenzie has been named one of Pennsylvania Business Central's Foremost Under 40 in 2018 and 2021. She was recently just honored by Pennsylvania Business Central by being named one of their Signature Leaders Under 30. 

MacKenzie is the Vice-President of the Shaver's Creek Grange #353 and a member of the Pomona Grange #6. She advocates for rural American and agriculture in Huntingdon County while also serving the community is various ways through Grange special community projects. She is a member of the Huntingdon County Women's Club, previously the Secretary, and spends a lot of time finding ways to support women and children in Huntingdon County. She also serves on the Administrative Professional Advisory Board for South Hills School of Business & Technology. MacKenzie will be inducted as a member of the Huntingdon Rotary Club on Tuesday, November 22.

Board President, JoAnna Swope, was quoted saying, "We are thrilled to have her here and look forward to utilizing all of her knowledge and expertise." and "We are very fortunate to have her here. She will engage in her existing relationships with some of our businesses in the community that maybe are not current supporters of United Way."
