This year, Jaelyn "Jae" Oliver, chef at Bluegills Bar & Grill, took the polar plunge for more than just fun—he dove in to support his community. In 2024, Jae took the plunge for the first time, but in 2025, he decided to turn it into a meaningful fundraiser for Saint Vincent De Paul and The Salvation Army in Huntingdon County.
Jae jumped into the Juniata River on January 19th at 11am. It was one of the coldest days of the year! Bluegills donated 10% of their day's proceeds to the event. Jae used this exciting challenge to raise much-needed funds for these two vital organizations that provide essential services to those in need. By taking part in this chilly tradition, Jae gave back to the community he serves every day. Together, the Polar Plunge helped raise over $1300! Thank you to Jae, Bluegills, and everyone who donated!
